Crops in Arkansas see improvement
Arkansas farmers have nearly finished wheat harvest.
The USDA reports as of Sunday 72% of corn, 74% of cotton, 83% of peanuts, and 58% of soybeans is rated good to excellent. The alfalfa hay crop is 39 percent good to excellent.
Some crop progress remains ahead of average with 85% of the corn crop silking, 78% of cotton is squaring, 41% of peanuts are pegging, 40% of soybeans are setting pods and 93% of winter wheat is harvested.
