COVID-19 highlights importance of technology in agriculture

United Soybean Board CEO Polly Ruhland says covid-related disruptions are providing an opportunity to highlight the importance of technology in agriculture.
“The opportunity for the conversations around technology and food with consumers is opening in a way that it hasn’t been before because of the shortages,” she says.
She says it’s important for people involved in the industry to share how critical access to ag innovation is.
“It’s a great time to talk about technology in agriculture and how important the freedom to use technology to make food is for the continued reliable food chain not only in this country but globally,” she says.
Ruhland says opportunities for dialogue surrounding agriculture have really opened up during this time.
