Cool temperatures slow planting in Indiana

Cooler temperatures slowed planting progress in Indiana last week, according to the latest USDA crop progress and condition report.

Seven percent of the state’s corn crop, and four percent of soybeans are planted.

Seventy-one percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 82 percent and subsoil moisture is 78 percent adequate to surplus.
