Colorado Supreme Court blocks PAUSE Act from proceeding
The Colorado Supreme Court unanimously voted to block an unprecedented measure that would have criminalized historic farming and ranching practices across Colorado from proceeding. Initiative 2021-21 #16 (the PAUSE Act) would have changed statutory state language to define widely-used animal husbandry practices as “cruelty to animals”.
The Court ruled the citizen-led ballot initiative was incorrectly given a green light by the State Title Board.
According to the Colorado Livestock Association, Initiative 16 contained multiple subjects, and given its complexity could mislead voters when they cast their ballots.
The court sent the case back to the State Title Board with instructions to return the Initiative to its proponents. The proponents can redraft the measure, however, they would have to start the process over from the beginning.

Here’s the issue….livestock and domestic animals are being tortured daily before their deaths. Calves are abused after birth and pulled from their mother’s, pigs are treated horribly and abused before brutal deaths, same with chickens, turkeys, horses and everything else. The human race are a bunch of sadistic selfish savages and this needs to stop. We also need to have mandatory veterinary care for them but put the law in place to eliminate any painful abuse or treatment that comes from farmers, feed lots, owners, and auctions towards any animal. This is a no brainer. Why is torture allowed on any level? We need veterinarians to provide healthcare for animals…..but we also need people to stop treating animals like objects that have no feelings of pain. Shame on everyone. Dispicable is what the world has become. So…We need laws to protect animal abuse and we need veterinarians to make sure they recieve care. Get it together. 😡
Why are thes morons insistently changing rules to suit themselves. This constant barrage of idiotic laws rules is just stupidity..
It takes one election to show normal people who not to vote for.
