CME Group to close Chicago trading floor Friday

The CME Group will close its’ Chicago trading floor after the end of business Friday indefinitely as a precaution over coronavirus concerns, in-line with advice from medical professionals regarding large gatherings.

Trading will continue through the exchange’s electronic Globex platform, where most of commodity trading already occurs.

No cases have been reported on the trading floor or at the Chicago Board of Trade building.
