CHS “ready for the demand” as spring fieldwork accelerates

Crop inputs look readily available as spring fieldwork ramps up.

Jay Debertin, CEO of the nation’s largest farmer-owned cooperative CHS, says supply points are full.

“We’re ready for the demand, it looks good. It will be a very, very busy time because some areas kind of are on a normal time, but there’s areas in our northern part of the trade territory where it looks now like it’s going to be late.”

He tells Brownfield that will result in a rush on products.

“Now at the same time, equipment can handle it and our supply position with inventory is ready for it.”

Debertin says supply chain issues stemming from low Mississippi River levels seem to be alleviated and now there’s concern of flooding.
