Chinn talks MO State Fair and more with Brownfield

Missouri’s Agriculture Director says it’s exciting to be back at the state fairgrounds in Sedalia after the bulk of the Missouri State Fair was cancelled last year because of the pandemic. The youth livestock show was held in 2020 but now, in 2021, not only are shows on, 4H and FFA exhibits are filling up those buildings and the state is celebrating its bicentennial with photos of agriculture over the decades. Chinn says it’s amazing seeing “how far agriculture has come” over the years.

She also talks about grants approved by the state legislature to help small meat processing plants grow, the infrastructure bill that passed the U.S. Senate which includes broadband funding, ag weather and more. Hear my interview with her on Farm Family Day at the fair below:
