Celebrating National FFA Week in South Dakota

South Dakota State FFA President Ella Stiefvater says chapters are finding ways to celebrate National FFA Week despite the weather challenges.

“This is the one time of the year outside of single day events where you can see how FFA has impacted hundreds of thousands of people across the United States.”

She tells Brownfield they’re focused on ag teacher appreciation and online fundraising. State FFA Vice President Megan Sanders tells Brownfield the experiences FFA members receive are unmatched.

“Between public speaking abilities, interview skills, learning parlimentary procedure all the way to career readiness.”

The state FFA officer team plans to make chapter visits for workshops in the next few weeks and during National Ag Week. South Dakota FFA has 4,600 members.
