Californian in mix for Ag Secretary

Add one more name to the growing list of potential Agriculture Secretary nominees–former California lieutenant governor Abel Maldonado.

Maldonado, who is also a former California state legislator, reportedly met today with President-elect Donald Trump to discuss the top USDA post.  Maldonado’s family has been involved in fruit and vegetable farming in California.
