Bulk of Missouri State Fair canceled

The Missouri State Fair announced Friday that it is canceling all events except for its junior livestock shows.

The fair says Governor Mike Parson and the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services determined reducing the number of fairgoers to be the safest course of action to limit COVID-19 related risks.

Canceled events include the opening day ceremony, Governor’s Ham Breakfast, carnival and all open livestock shows.

In a release, the fair says it will continue the “invaluable agriculture education experience” it provides to 4-H and FFA members.
