Bronaugh praises biofuels during Growth Energy summit
The Deputy Secretary of the USDA says biofuels will play a crucial role in increasing America’s energy independence.
Jewel Bronaugh says removing restrictions on E15 sales during the summer months was a key step. “These emergency waivers gave consumers more choices to get lower prices and put money back in their family’s pockets.”
She says the administration remains committed to the biofuels industry. “Allowing higher levels of blending will reduce our dependency on foreign fuels because it opens the door for us to rely more heavily on homegrown biofuels.”
Bronaugh spoke during this week’s annual Growth Energy Biofuels Summit.
