Biden pleased with physical infrastructure deal

President Biden says he’s pleased a bipartisan group of senators has agreed to a deal with him on infrastructure improvements. The $1-point-2 Trillion dollar plan is focused on physical infrastructure only, including roads, railway, bridges and broadband, creating new jobs.

The plan will also replace 100-percent of the nation’s lead water pipes.

Biden says he will pursue the “human infrastructure” on a separate path.

Biden says there will be no gas tax increase and no fee on electric vehicles. But he says they are pursing tax increases on those who make upwards of $400-thousand dollars a year.

Republicans are opposed to any reversal of the 2017 tax cuts.

Biden says neither side got everything they wanted but it’s important that they did reach consensus. Details on a final bill have to be ironed out.
