Bayer in potential settlement talks

Bayer AG has agreed with plaintiffs in a St. Louis glyphosate trial that was to have begun Friday to postpone it and enter into settlement talks. A statement from Bayer says the parties will continue the mediation process but “there is no comprehensive agreement at this time. There also is no certainty or timetable for a comprehensive resolution.”

Thousands of lawsuits allege plaintiffs’ exposure to Roundup has their caused cancer. A settlement could potentially be reached on the remaining cases.

BAYER AG STATEMENT:

“The parties have reached an agreement to continue the Wade (vs Monsanto) case in Missouri Circuit Court for St. Louis City. This continuance is intended to provide room for the parties to continue the mediation process in good faith under the auspices of Ken Feinberg, and avoid the distractions that can arise from trial. While Bayer is constructively engaged in the mediation process, there is no comprehensive agreement at this time. There also is no certainty or timetable for a comprehensive resolution. ”

  Because I have children and Grandchildren to think about and they will still be at the mercy of corporate profit I rather receive nothing and see Bayer and company’s like Bayer and Monsanto be destroyed and put out of business as a warning to others who put profit ahead of human life

  My husband has cancer from using Roundup and is going thru hell with treatment. The worry waiting to see that each treatment brings his IGM’s down is taking its toll. 10 billion divided by even 43,000 plaintiffs is anot insult for a life of the most loving and giving person I know.
