Baldwin, Moffitt promote dairy innovation funding

Eighty million more dollars are going towards the Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives.

Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin and USDA Undersecretary Jennifer Moffitt spoke about the 80-million in from the American Rescue Plan during a farm tour in Wisconsin Monday.  Baldwin says this federal funding from USDA will help dairy businesses modernize, reach new markets, and create economic growth.  She says USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) also plans to begin accepting funding applications later this fiscal year contingent upon appropriations.

The Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives provide farmers, cheesemakers, and dairy processors with additional resources to innovate and develop new dairy products.
