Fifteen soybean growers from 11 states have been confirmed to serve on the American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) program committee in 2016-17.

Daryl Cates of Illinois is chairman, Levi Huffman of Indiana is vice chair, Stan Born of Illinois is treasurer and E.L. Reed of Missouri is Secretary.

The WISH program was started in the early 2000s to help create markets for soy where the need exists but business does not.  The ASA says the program recently helped create an aquaculture market in Pakistan that contributes to the demand for soy-based feed.

It complements the work of the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC).

Other members include George Goblish of Minnesota Tim Bardole of Iowa, Roberta Simpson-Dolbeare and Jeff Lynn of Illinois, USB Ex-officio Member Keith Kemp and Steve Reinhard of Ohio, and, Dawn Scheier of South Dakota.
