Arkansas crops: 77% soybeans and 77% cotton harvested

Heavy precipitation slowed harvest pace for many farmers across the state.  According to the latest crop report from the USDA, 77 percent of soybeans have been harvested with 97 percent of the crop dropping leaves.

Seventy-seven percent of cotton has been harvested.

Forty-eight percent of peanuts have been harvested, with 88 percent of the crop dug. 

Ninety-seven percent of rice has been harvested.

Corn harvest is complete.

Sixty-seven percent of winter wheat has been planted with 45 percent emerged and 53 percent of the crop is rated good to excellent. 

Pasture conditions improved again this week to 65 percent rated good.

Eighty-four percent of Topsoil and 74 percent of subsoil moisture are called adequate to surplus.
