Arkansas crops: 34% cotton and 56% soybeans harvested

Harvest pace wasn’t slowed too much by the light to moderate precipitation that fell across the state, according to the USDA.  Ninety-nine percent of the state’s corn crop has been harvested. 

Rice harvest is 89% complete.   The cotton crop is 34% harvested with 100% of bolls opening.  Soybean harvest is 56% complete and 83% of the crop is mature.  Peanut harvest is 34% complete with 84% of the crop dug.

Pastures are rated 30% good to excellent.  Winter wheat is 34% planted with 12% emerged

Topsoil and subsoil moisture are rated 70% percent adequate to surplus.
