Arizona Court cancels Trump Navigable Waters rule

A federal judge in Arizona has vacated former President Trump’s Navigable Waters Protection Rule because it would do “serious environmental harm” in the arid Southwest.

The American Farm Bureau says they’re extremely disappointed by the ruling and it casts uncertainty for producers who’ve made progress in managing water and natural resources.

The plaintiffs, who include several tribes across the U.S., say the outcome allows the Biden administration time to develop a new rule.

Last month, a South Carolina federal judge granted EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers time to reconsider the rule without cancelling it.

  • Thank you plaintiffs for getting clean water back in place again. It is unbelievable that farmers think they can just dump or let drain anything in our nations water. What gives them the right to pollute?
