Argentina declares state of Agriculture Emergency

Argentina’s Ag Ministry has declared a state of agriculture emergency because of new locust clouds reported in a northern province, threatening crops and livestock.

The Argentine government has begun financial assistance for farmers in a four-province region affected by locusts since May.

Reports say winds are expected to drift west, keeping the locust cloud from Brazil.
