Another wet month for Arkansas

The USDA says February temperatures were average in Arkansas, while the state experienced a third consecutive month of excessive rainfall.

Those wet conditions kept fieldwork minimal, preventing fertilizer and weed control application.

Cattle conditions were called fair to good and hay supplies are ample as the lack of bitter cold allowed for forage growth.

The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume in April.
