Animal feed industry says bottlenecks continue

The American Feed Industry Association says supply chain issues have had limited improvement over the last year.

President and CEO Constance Cullman tells Brownfield, “Problems with infrastructure, shipping delays, the supply chain—that’s continuing well into this year, and we expect it to be a topic of conversation well into 2023.”Coleman says some of the biggest challenges are related to the trucking sector.

“The shortage of not only drivers but also equipment has been probably the biggest single factor impacting our members,” she says.

AFIA recently released a state of the industry report highlighting major issues for animal feed manufacturers over the past year.
