Ahead of average harvest pace continues in MO

Corn harvest is nearing the halfway point and soybean harvest is just getting started in Missouri.

USDA says corn harvest is 42% complete and soybean harvest is 12% complete, both ahead of average for this time of the year. The crop condition ratings are 35% good to excellent and 48% good to excellent, respectively.

Cotton harvest is at 10% complete, in-line with the average harvest pace and rice harvest is at 65% complete, ahead of average. Winter wheat planting has begun and is at 7% complete with 1% of the crop emerged.

Pasture conditions are rated 91% poor to very poor in Missouri. USDA says hay supplies are 62% short to very short and stock water supplies are 61% adequate.
