Ag technology company to expand crop imaging

An agricultural technology company has secured another 30-million dollars in investments. 

Israeli-based Taranis has developed a system of using high-resolution crop images to detect early signs of disease, insect infestations, nutrient deficiencies, and other risks using drones, airplanes, and satellites with field sensors and smart irrigation systems.  CEO Ofir Schlam says the funding will help strengthen sales and marketing worldwide.

The company’s A-I SmartScout Solutions system generates leaf-level data 20 times faster than manual scouting and can cover 100 acres in six minutes.
