Ag groups react to USMCA signing

Edge Dairy Farmer Co-op President Brody Stapel calls the USMCA signing a tremendous victory for America’s dairy farmers. The Wisconsin dairy farmer says it preserves the well established markets of Mexico and Canada and provides even more opportunities for exports there.

The president of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association attended the signing today at the White House. Jennifer Houston says it’s a great day for America’s cattle producers.

American Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall says the signing definitely increases optimism on farms and ranches. But he says, as realists, Farm Bureau members are eager to see results, especially for dairy and wheat producers. Duvall says they know it will take time to go into effect and translate into increased sales.
