Ag CEOs urge Congress to announce results of presidential election

CEOs from the nation’s leading companies – including ag companies – are urging Congress to announce the results of the presidential election, opposing all efforts to delay or overturn “the clear outcome” of the election.

Ahead of today’s joint session of Congress to count the electoral votes, the Business Roundtable issued a statement saying the integrity of the 2020 presidential election is not in doubt, “with claims of electoral fraud having been fully considered and rejected by federal and state courts and state government officials.”

It says in the midst of a pandemic “business leaders recognize that ongoing division and distrust” in the nation’s political system threatens economic recovery and job creation that the nation “desperately needs.”

Bayer, Corteva, ADM, Deere, and Land O’ Lakes are among the leading ag companies in the Business Roundtable.
