AEM urging lawmakers to support pro-manufacturing policies ahead of the midterm

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers is urging elected officials to support pro-manufacturing policies ahead of the midterm elections.

Kip Eideberg is the senior vice president of government and industry relations with AEM.

“We’re making the case that they need to make a strong argument for how they are going to help strengthen American manufacturing, bolster supply chains, invest in the American worker, and ensure our continued global competitiveness,” he says.

He tells Brownfield this is critical as the industry and country continue to recover from COVID-related supply chain issues.

“We believe that the only way that we’re going to get ultimately back to where we were as an industry and as an economy in 2019 and 2020, is if we continue to make long-term investments in manufacturing,” he says.

The 2022 midterm election is November 8.
