AEM on need for strong bipartisanship
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers says a strong infrastructure bill is needed in the Biden Administration but AEM President Dennis Slater says COVID relief and the vaccine rollout come first.
“We have to get ourselves back to business here and we don’t really see our economy recovering until that’s done, so, early focus there.”
Bob Crain, head of AGCO North America, says bipartisanship in the new Congress is critical.
“We strongly urge the incoming administration and the new Congress to work together to pass, and let me underscore it, bipartisan infrastructure investment and to dedicate our country to rebuilding and just as important, uniting our people around a common purpose.”
Crain also says ag equipment makers need free and fair trade because they, like all manufacturers, thrive on stability.
