ADM expands Illinois feed plant

Archer Daniels Midland plans to rebuild its Quincy, Illinois feed plant.

President of ADM Animal Nutrition Brent Fenton says this announcement along with plans to build a new plant in Glencoe, Minnesota, China and current construction at the Effingham, Illinois facility are part of the company’s efforts to meet growing consumer demand.

The Quincy facility will replace the current operations to centralize production lines, expand warehouse space and create a dedicated feed line for non-medicated products. Construction is expected to be completed by the middle of 2018 and the current plant will remain open during the process.
