A warm, wet March for most of Arkansas

The USDA says March was a little warmer and wetter than normal in Arkansas.

That precipitation kept some farmers idle, but field work was possible in areas with higher elevations.

Other activities during the month were calving, grain movement, and preparation ahead of widespread planting.

The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume Monday.
