A fun way to experience the farm
For anyone looking for a really fun way to spend a Saturday or Sunday, jump in the car and head to Kelsay Farms located just off I-65 south of Indianapolis. Kelsay Farms’ fall event begins Saturday, October 3 with all kinds of fun things to do, everything from a corn maze, to hayrides, there’s a pumpkin slingshot and of course tours of the dairy farm.
“We are a working dairy farm, that’s what we do every day,” said Amy Kelsay, taking time from spray painting round bale targets for the pumpkin slingshot, to talk with Brownfield’s Dave Russell. “So we want them to experience what life is like on a real working farm, but also have fun, I think a lot of peope are looking for a fall experience, somewhere they can go, be outside, sit around a bonfire, eat a hotdog, grab a pumpkin while they are here, and this is the place to do it.
Farm hours will be noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon to six on Sunday.
