A better-than-usual winter for northern SD
A cattle producer from north-central South Dakota says the better-than-usual winter weather has made working with cattle more pleasant this year.
“The cows are doing really well and it’s a refreshing change of pace,” says Troy Hadrick.
He says while other parts of the state battled drought last year, that wasn’t the case at his farm.
“We had great summer for moisture and had nothing to complain about. Once in awhile you get lucky and get timely rains.”
Hadrick has a diverse farm with cattle, hay and row crops.
