99% of South Dakota corn harvested

The harvest season is in the final stages in South Dakota.

The USDA says that as of Sunday, 99% of the state’s corn crop is harvested, compared to the five-year average of 85%.

The sorghum harvest is also 99% finished, while sunflowers are 96% harvested.

Eighty-eight percent of the winter wheat crop has emerged and is rated 32% good-to-excellent.
