82% of Indiana corn, 69% of soybeans planted

Warm and dry conditions allowed Indiana farmers to make “excellent planting progress” last week, according to the latest USDA crop progress and condition report.

Eighty-two percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, and 55 percent has emerged.

Sixty-nine percent of soybeans in Indiana are planted, and 41 percent of the crop has emerged.

Seventy-two percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.
