76% of Indiana corn, 72% of soybeans in good to excellent condition

Dry conditions spurred fieldwork last week in Indiana.

According to the USDA, 76 percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Ninety-three percent of corn is silking, and 31 percent is in the dough stage.

Seventy-two percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent. Eighty five percent of soybeans are blooming, and 52 percent are setting pods.
