67% of Ohio corn, 59% of soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says wheat harvest ramped up last week in Ohio.

Thirty-two percent of the crop is harvested, while 92 percent is mature and 72 percent is rated good to excellent.  

The state’s corn crop is rated 67 percent good to excellent, with 8 percent silking.

Fifty-nine percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent, with 11 percent blooming and one percent setting pods.

The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 51 percent complete, and the second cutting of other hay is 30 percent complete.
