65% of Indiana corn, 67% of soybeans rated good to excellent

Storms moved through Indiana last week causing some damage in the northern part of the state.

The USDA says crop condition ratings held steady at 65 percent of corn and 67 percent of soybeans rated good to excellent.

Seventy-one percent of the corn crop is in the dough stage and 16 percent is dented. Ninety-seven percent of soybeans are blooming, and 81 percent are setting pods.

The third cutting of alfalfa hay is 57 percent complete and the third cutting of other hay is 36 percent complete.
