About 60 percent of Missouri’s corn, soybeans good to excellent

Dry weather allowed more fieldwork in Missouri this past week. The USDA says topsoil moisture’s now 70 percent adequate to surplus. Most of the corn is up and the crop is 59 percent good to excellent. Soybeans are 85 percent planted and are 61 percent good to excellent. Bootheel cotton is 47 percent good to excellent and two-thirds of the rice is good to excellent. About 20 percent of the winter wheat is harvested and it’s 68 percent good to excellent. Missouri pastures are 72 percent good to excellent.
