60% of Indiana corn, 62% of soybeans rated good to excellent

Crop condition ratings fell slightly in Indiana last week. Hot and dry conditions continued in many parts of the state while scattered rains brought relief to some areas.

According to the USDA, corn is 60 percent and soybeans are 62 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat conditions also fell slightly to 62 percent good to excellent.


The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 41 percent complete and the second cutting of other hay is 22 percent complete.
