53% of Ohio corn, 57% of soybeans rated good to excellent

Hot and dry weather weakened crop condition ratings in Ohio last week.

According to the USDA, corn is 53 percent and soybeans are 57 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat conditions also fell slightly to 64 percent good to excellent.

The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 52 percent complete and the second cutting of other hay is 31 percent complete.
