34% of Indiana corn, 52% of soybeans harvested

The USDA says dry weather returned in Indiana and allowed farmers to make significant progress with corn and soybean harvest last week.

As of Sunday, 34 percent of corn is harvested. The crop is rated 61 percent good to excellent.

Soybeans are 52 percent harvested. Sixty-three percent is rated good to excellent.

Forty-seven percent of the winter wheat crop is planted and eight percent is emerged.
