33% of Ohio corn, 24% of soybeans planted

Farmers made planting progress in Ohio last week despite cool conditions.

According to the USDA, corn is 33 percent planted and three percent emerged. Soybeans are 24 percent planted and two percent emerged.

Oats are 79 percent planted and 46 percent emerged. Winter wheat is rated 72 percent good to excellent with 4 percent of the crop headed.
