30 percent of corn, 16 percent of soybeans planted in Nebraska

Nebraska crops could use warmer and wetter conditions this spring.

The USDA says 30 percent of the corn crop has been planted with only 1 percent emerged.

Sixteen percent of soybeans have been planted, 3 percent ahead of the average.

More than 84 percent of oats have been planted.

Topsoil moisture is 78 percent short-to-very short and subsoil moisture is 83 percent short-to-very short.
