27% of Ohio corn, 20% of soybeans planted

Cool and wet conditions slowed planting progress in Ohio last week.

Twenty-seven percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, compared to 30 percent last year.

Twenty percent of soybeans in Ohio are planted, compared to 22 percent last year.

Eighty-five percent of oats are planted and sixty-six percent to the crop has emerged.

Seventy-nine percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.
