20% of Indiana corn, 18% of soybeans planted

The USDA says planting progress continued in Indiana last week despite cool conditions.

Twenty percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, five percentage points ahead of the five-year average. One percent of the crop is emerged.

Eighteen percent of soybeans are planted, nine percentage points ahead of the five-year average. 

Seventy-five percent of the winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent.
