11% of Indiana corn, 7% of soybeans planted

Farmers made some planting progress in Indiana last week.

Eleven percent of the corn crop is planted, compared to 44 percent a year ago. One percent of the crop has emerged.

Seven percent of soybeans are planted, compared to 34 percent last year.

Sixty-one percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 98 percent and subsoil moisture is 96 percent adequate to surplus.
