10% of Ohio corn, 14% of soybeans planted

The USDA says wet and cold weather conditions limited planting last week in Ohio.

Ten percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, three percentage points ahead of the five-year average.

Fourteen percent of soybeans are planted, nine percentage points ahead of the five-year average.

Seventy-one percent of oats are planted, and 30 percent have emerged.

Sixty-six percent of the winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent.
