1% of Minnesota corn, 5% of oats planted

Corn planting was limited in Minnesota last week due to colder than normal temperatures and continued snow and rainfall.

The USDA says as of Sunday just 1% of the expected corn crop has been planted.

Five percent of oats are planted, ahead of last year’s pace of 2% but behind the five-year average of 15%.

Pasture conditions were rated 28% good to excellent.
