Milk futures mostly higher, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange found strength Thursday ahead of the cold storage report while cash markets were mixed.

March Class III milk up six cents at $18.10. April 40 cents higher at $19.76. May up 28 cents at $18.95. June six cents higher at $18.66. July through September contracts unchanged to 18 cents lower.

Dry whey down $0.01 at $0.4375.

Blocks up $0.04 at $2.0550. Three trades were made from $2.03 to $2.0550.

Barrels up $0.02 at $1.96. Seven trades were made from $1.9250 to $1.96.

Butter down $0.0350 at $2.3475. One sale was made at $2.35.

Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.15.
