Milk futures mixed, cash dairy higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed mixed in a narrow range Friday while cash trended higher.

March Class III milk eight cents higher at $16.30.  April down five cents at $17.64.  May five cents higher at $18.14.  June down three cents at $18.13.  July through September contracts a penny lower to a penny higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.58. 

Blocks up $0.0425 at $1.7325.  Three sales were made ranging from $1.71 to $1.7325.

Barrels up $0.0425 at $1.5075.  Five trades were made ranging from $1.48 to $1.51. 

Butter up $0.0125 at $1.69.  Four trades were made ranging from $1.68 to $1.6925.

Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.1775.
