Milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly higher Wednesday supported by a return in positive cash cheese prices.

August Class III milk up 14 cents to $19.53.  September six cents lower at $16.29.  October 10 cents higher at $16.82.  November up seven cents at $16.72.  December through February contracts four cents lower to two cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.31. 

Blocks up $0.0250 at $1.6050.  Four trades were made ranging from $1.60 to $1.6050. 

Barrels up $0.02 at $1.4650.  Thirteen trades were made ranging from $1.4450 to $1.48.

Butter down $0.0475 at $1.4750.  Nine trades were made ranging from $1.47 to $1.4850.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0025 at $0.9425.  Fourteen trades were made at $0.94 and $0.9425.
